Schedule: Day shift, 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pay: $40.72 to $61.08 per hour

Overview

A healthcare organization in Baltimore is seeking a Senior Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform imaging procedures across angiography, interventional radiology, and diagnostic radiology. This position also provides team leadership and works directly with physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

This opportunity is well suited for an experienced imaging professional who enjoys complex procedures, real-time problem solving, and the pace of a high-acuity hospital environment.


Responsibilities

  • Perform imaging procedures in angiography, interventional radiology, and diagnostic radiology settings.
  • Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures.
  • Support vascular access procedures, including line placements, ports, tunneled catheters, and dialysis access interventions.
  • Assist with image-guided drain placements and biopsies.
  • Support neurointerventional procedures, including cerebral and spinal angiography, thrombectomy, embolization, aneurysm treatment, and stenting.
  • Explain procedure details, preparation requirements, and expectations to patients and families.
  • Provide technical guidance and serve as a clinical resource for imaging staff.
  • Maintain compliance with patient safety, radiation safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Respond effectively during urgent, complex, and high-acuity procedures.


Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent education, including two years of college.
  • Three to five years of relevant imaging experience.
  • Advanced Boards in Interventional Radiology.
  • Active ARRT certification.
  • Active Maryland Certified Medical Radiation Technologist license.
  • Current American Heart Association CPR certification.
  • Ability to obtain ACLS certification within one year of hire.
  • Specialized knowledge of diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting neurointerventional procedures.
  • Experience with emergency or high-acuity procedural cases.
  • Previous senior technologist or team lead experience.
  • Experience in a hospital-based angiography or interventional radiology setting.
