Mechanical Design Engineer
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support product development, design customization, and manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for creating and improving mechanical designs, preparing technical quotes, collaborating with customers and internal teams, and ensuring products are optimized for performance, quality, cost, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and modify mechanical components, assemblies, and products using CAD software.
- Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for production.
- Prepare, present, and manage accurate and competitive quotes for products and services.
- Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to define technical requirements and develop effective engineering solutions.
- Evaluate designs for manufacturability, cost, quality, and performance.
- Support product development, sustaining engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot design, production, and quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Work closely with manufacturing, purchasing, and vendors to support production readiness and new product launches.
- Manage engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are achieved.
- Provide technical support to operations and assist with process improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- Experience in mechanical design, product development, manufacturing engineering, or a similar technical role.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, tolerancing, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
- Experience developing cost estimates, technical quotations, or project proposals is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
