Join our team at Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, a member of the Alliance Health family of skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team at Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, including preparing, administering, and documenting medications. You will also be responsible for ensuring that medications are only administered with a valid written order from a licensed physician and confirming resident identity prior to administering medication.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, administer, and document oral and topical medications accurately and safely

  • Ensure medications are only administered with a valid written order from a licensed physician

  • Confirm resident identity prior to administering medication

  • Observe and verify that medications are ingested or applied as directed

  • Document refusals or issues with medication administration

  • Assist with medication charting and inventory management

  • Order medications and supplies in accordance with facility procedures

  • Maintain accurate narcotic records and report discrepancies immediately

  • Adhere to all facility policies regarding medication handling, storage, and destruction

  • Support the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse with delegated tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Current and active Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in North Carolina

  • Active CPR certification

  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality and resident care

  • Customer service orientation and ability to perform under pressure
