Warehouse Associate/ CDL-A Backup Driver

The Warehouse Associate/CDL-A Backup Driver is responsible for supporting warehouse operations by receiving, unloading, organizing, scanning, and stocking plumbing and building materials. This is a warehouse-first position where most of the workweek is spent performing warehouse duties.
The employee will also serve as a backup CDL-A driver when needed to cover vacations, driver absences, hotshot deliveries, and branch-to-branch transfers. Driving responsibilities are occasional and operationally driven.
Warehouse Duties

• Receive inbound shipments.
• Verify incoming products and scan them into inventory.
• Load and unload materials.
• Organize and stock inventory.
• Assist with order fulfillment.
• Conduct inventory counts.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse.

Backup Driving Duties

• Cover routes during driver vacations and absences.
• Perform hotshot deliveries and branch transfers.
• Operate automatic transmission dry van equipment.
• Complete pre/post-trip inspections and DOT paperwork.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company safety standards.

Preferred

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Prior warehouse experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Pallet jack experience.
• Experience operating dry van equipment.

The ideal candidate is a CDL-A driver who enjoys warehouse work and is comfortable spending most of their time receiving, stocking, and organizing materials while being available to drive when business needs require coverage. They should be physically capable, dependable, safety-oriented, and experienced in warehouse and transportation environments.

Job Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills.
• Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently.
