Job Summary

Sunwest Services is seeking an experienced Electrician / Controls Technician to join our commercial service team. This position involves electrical troubleshooting, controls installation, and remodel work for commercial properties. Candidates must be willing to travel throughout Colorado and occasionally out of state, as some projects require overnight stays and extended work hours.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and control systems in supermarkets and commercial facilities.
• Diagnose electrical, refrigeration control, and HVAC control issues.
• Install and terminate control wiring, sensors, relays, contactors, and control panels.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
• Complete commercial remodels, equipment upgrades, and new installations while maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial electrical or supermarket controls experience.
• Experience with refrigeration controls, HVAC controls, or building automation systems.
• Knowledge of control wiring, relays, contactors, VFDs, sensors, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience working in occupied retail or supermarket environments.
• Ability to read electrical prints and control schematics.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel throughout Colorado and neighboring states, including overnight travel.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours when projects require.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license (preferred but not required).
• Experience with Danfoss, Emerson, CPC, Carel, Novar, or other supermarket control systems.
• Experience with refrigeration rack systems and EMS/BMS controls.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
