EMS Transport Driver FT

Job Summary: Provides emergency and non-emergency transport to patients in the pre-hospital and inter-facility setting. Follow current policy and procedures.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements:

1. Valid Iowa Class C Licensure.
2. AHA HCP CPR required.

3. Emergency Vehicle Driving Safety Course preferred.

Responsibilities/essential functions: The person in this position must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

1. Be prepared to respond in a timely and safe manner to emergent and non-emergent requests.
2. Critical thinking, scene control and gaining access to patients.
3. Transport of patients per EMS provider.
4. Attends departmental in-services and staff meetings as required or requested. Minimum of 100% attendance is required for our BASE meetings.
5. Acts in a professional manner.
6. Operate the secure car, wheelchair and ambulance in accordance with the driving policy.
7. Participate in staff meetings and continuing education as directed.
8. Maintain patient records according to policy and procedures.
9. Acts in a professional manner reflecting the mission, vision and values of the care ambulance.
10. All other duties as assigned.
11. Regular and reliable attendance is expected.
12. Turn in appropriate documents (PCRs) prior to leaving duty.
13. Comply with HIPAA regulations.
14. Follow infection control policy.
15. Any and all driving citations are your responsibility to pay.
