Material Handler
Location: Spring Valley, IL
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Express Employment Professionals of Ottawa & Morris is seeking a dependable Material Handler to support production operations at a growing manufacturing facility in Spring Valley, IL. If you have prior forklift experience, enjoy staying active, and take pride in keeping operations running smoothly, this could be a great opportunity for you.
Job Responsibilities
  • Handle and move skids throughout the production area to support workflow and material availability
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to transport materials
  • Break down boxes and process waste materials to maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Sweep, remove debris, and perform routine housekeeping duties
  • Store dies in designated locations to ensure organization and accessibility
  • Organize tools and materials to support operational efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Supply operators with required materials by identifying needs and delivering materials to production stations
  • Retrieve materials from inventory using pick sheets and ensure accuracy
  • Stage coils and position materials for upcoming production runs
  • Collect and transport scrap materials to approved recycling and waste locations
  • Perform additional material-handling and production support duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Prior forklift experience required
  • Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
  • Ability to follow pick sheets and work instructions accurately
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport materials throughout the shift
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Team player with a focus on safety and efficiency
