Marine Designers - Piping or HVAC

CTR Group is seeking experienced Marine Designers - Piping or HVAC, in the Hampton, Virginia area for a long-term government project!

Pay Range:  $35 - $50 per Hour Plus Benefits.

JOB DUTIES:

• Use CAD system to develop initial 3D solid model of mechanical components and assemblies
• Provides CAD models in appropriate form for use by Analysis personnel at various stages of the design development
• Work closely with Engineering and Program Management personnel to refine design, solve problems, explore alternate approaches, etc.
• Interact with Fabrication personnel to ensure manufacturability of design and with Programming personnel to ensure content of solid model for programming activities
• Identify/select standard components for use in the design

Qualifications & Preferred Education/Experience:

• Associates Degree in related discipline
• 3+ years of related discipline; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to above
• Design experience of Piping systems
• Navy Surface Ship Design experience
• Shipchecks experience
• Self-starter, able to work on multiple projects, and prioritize workload
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Must hold a DoD Secret clearance
