Family Medicine CCMA – Gatesville Clinic / Float
Location: Coryell Health Medical Clinic
Schedules Available: Full-Time, Part-Time, PRN | Day, Evening, & Night Shifts
About the Role
We are seeking a dependable, flexible, and organized Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) to join our team at Coryell Health Medical Clinic. This dynamic role supports multiple clinics and departments as a float assistant, providing essential clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support
- Take vital signs and document patient histories accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations and clinical procedures.
- Assist healthcare providers during patient exams.
- Perform basic laboratory duties, including specimen collection, EKGs, and administer injections.
- Maintain clean, fully stocked exam rooms compliant with safety standards.
Administrative & EMR Support
- Maintain accurate and timely Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Support front office operations as needed, including:
- Patient check-in and check-out
- Appointment scheduling
- Insurance verification
General & Patient Care
- Float between multiple clinic locations and departments based on staffing needs.
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care while maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification required.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s degree preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
- Practical experience with EMR systems.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel between locations and quickly adapt to varying clinical workflows.
- Dependable, organized, and adaptable under fast-paced conditions.
