Industrial Mechanical & Electromechanical Technician

We are seeking a hands-on, highly skilled Industrial Mechanical & Electromechanical Technician to join our maintenance team in the City of Commerce. This position requires strong practical experience working with heavy industrial machinery, engine overhauls, mechanical component replacement, and soldering/welding. In addition to heavy mechanical work, the ideal candidate will possess solid electrical knowledge working with 220V and 240V systems.

Pay Rate:

$22.00 - $26.00 / hr (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

• Heavy Machinery & Engine Maintenance: Perform complex mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, tear-downs, and repairs on heavy industrial machinery, high-volume production equipment, industrial engines, and conveyor systems.
• Component Replacement & Assembly: Diagnose failing mechanical parts (bearings, gears, shafts, hydraulic/pneumatic components) and perform precise removals, replacements, and alignments.
• Soldering & Fabrication: Utilize soldering, torching, and basic fabrication/welding tools to repair components, join materials, and rebuild mechanical parts as required.
• 220V/240V Electrical Work: Troubleshoot, test, and wire industrial electrical components, single-phase and three-phase circuits (220V–240V), control panels, switches, and electric motors.
• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Execute routine preventive maintenance inspections and rapid emergency repairs to minimize facility downtime.
• Tool & Safety Mastery: Expertly and safely operate basic hand tools, heavy power tools, electrical testing tools (multimeters), and shop machinery.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with plant operators and production leadership to maintain smooth plant operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Heavy Mechanical Background: Proven experience working with large-scale industrial machinery, motors, heavy engines, and mechanical replacement parts.
• Fabrication Skills: Hands-on experience with soldering and basic welding/metal working for machine repair.
• Electrical Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge of 220V / 240V electrical fundamentals, wiring, motors, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Language Skills: Bilingual in English / Spanish (Required).
• Screening: Must be able to pass a background check and E-Verify employment authorization.
