Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift/Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring the safe handling and movement of materials. Your contributions will directly support our logistics and distribution efforts, enabling us to meet customer demands effectively. Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely to load and unload materials.
• Utilize RF scanners for accurate inventory management and order picking.
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition.
• Handle materials with care, adhering to OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve processes.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• Assist in maintaining an organized warehouse environment, including proper storage of goods.
• Participate in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are employed.

Skills

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution and materials handling.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and cranes.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and order picking processes.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while adhering to safety standards.
• Experience with shipping and receiving operations is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
