Manual Machinist | CNC Machinist | Welder
Tangipahoa Parish, LA
Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Pay: Competitive, Based on Experience
Specialized Staffing Solutions is currently hiring Manual Machinists, CNC Machinists, and Welders for full-time, temp-to-hire opportunities with a growing machine shop in Tangipahoa Parish. Responsibilities
Depending on the position, duties may include:
- Set up and operate manual and CNC machining equipment.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on a variety of materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and welding symbols.
- Machine, fabricate, repair, and assemble metal components to precise specifications.
- Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Perform machine adjustments, tool changes, and routine equipment maintenance.
- Maintain quality standards while meeting production deadlines.
- Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Work independently and collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Manual Machinist, CNC Machinist, or Welder required.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Welding certifications are a plus but not required.
- CNC setup and programming experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Dependable, motivated, and safety-focused with a strong work ethic.
- Reliable transportation.
