Painter

A Painter is responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to structures, surfaces, and objects to protect them and enhance their appearance. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to prepare and clean surfaces appropriately, and the skill to apply paint using various techniques to achieve excellent results. Painters often work on residential, commercial, and industrial projects and must follow safety guidelines and client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks.
• Mix and match paint colors according to specifications.
• Apply primers, paints, stains, and varnishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
• Protect surrounding areas using drop cloths and masking tape.
• Inspect surfaces to ensure paint adherence and finish quality.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow safety protocols when handling paints and chemicals.
• Communicate with clients and team members to understand project requirements.
