New Tech Global is currently seeking experienced HSE Technicians for a position in East Houston. The ideal candidate will support health, safety, and environmental programs by working independently, leading by example, coaching employees and supervisors, identifying and mitigating hazards, investigating incidents, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a proactive safety culture. This role demands strong judgment, leadership presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support and promote health, safety, and environmental programs.
  • Work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Coach and mentor employees and supervisors to enhance safety awareness.
  • Identify and mitigate workplace hazards to prevent incidents.
  • Conduct facility safety inspections, audits, safety meetings, and employee orientations.
  • Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety concerns, implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain and organize HSE documentation, safety records, SDS files, and regulatory compliance documents.
  • Communicate confidently with management, employees, contractors, and customers on safety matters.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of HSE, Environmental Health & Safety, or related experience in industrial or manufacturing settings.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience with skills in coaching and influencing at all organizational levels.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety programs, hazard recognition, incident investigation, and environmental compliance.
  • Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, meetings, and employee onboarding.
  • Proven experience investigating accidents and implementing effective corrective measures.
  • Proficiency in maintaining HSE documentation and regulatory compliance paperwork.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid driver’s license.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Safety certifications such as OSHA 30, OSHA 500/510, CHST, CSP, or equivalent.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred but not required.
