After-School Nanny / Family Assistant Newton, MA Start Date: August 28, 2026 We're a warm, busy family in Newton looking for a dependable and organized after-school nanny/family assistant to join us for the school year or longer! We have three children (ages 3, 8, and 12) and are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and helping keep family life running smoothly. This is a great position for a college or graduate student, or anyone looking for a consistent weekday afternoon schedule. Schedule * Guaranteed 15 hours/week (or to be agreed upon) * Monday-Friday, approximately 2:30-5:30 PM * Core childcare coverage is needed daily from 4:00-5:30 PM. Earlier afternoon hours are spent on family assistant tasks before school pickup. Responsibilities * Preschool pickup and after-school care * Preparing snacks and helping with homework and routines * Driving to occasional activities * Packing lunches and snacks * Children's laundry * Tidying children's spaces and kitchen * Other light child-related household tasks that help our afternoons run smoothly We're looking for someone who is: * Warm, reliable, and proactive * Organized and able to work independently * Experienced with children (nannying, babysitting, camp, teaching, etc.) * Has a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and excellent references Compensation & Benefits * Competitive hourly pay based on experience * Guaranteed weekly hours * Accrued paid time off * Paid sick time * Mileage reimbursement when driving the children We hope to find someone who will become a valued part of our family's routine throughout the school year.
