Electrician / Mechanical Assembly Technician

Job Summary

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Electrician. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems, as well as electrical components for industrial machinery. We work with both industrial and commercial clients, so you must be able to diagnose and repair electrical wiring problems on a variety of material handling equipment. Our ideal candidate has at least two years of professional experience and has extensive knowledge of different types of electrical networks. You will work closely with our electrical engineer on large MZPA projects.

When not doing electrical work, you will be performing mechanical assembly of material handling equipment. You may also be required to perform some electrical maintenance on the building and manufacturing equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Review job requirements each day

· Build and install panels, disconnects, and junction boxes

· Test all equipment for functionality

· Identify electrical problem areas that need replacement or repair

· Perform repair or replace wiring when necessary

· Troubleshoot and ensure that the electrical system is working properly before shipping equipment

· Maintain electric shop and store tools and equipment properly

Requirements and Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 2+ years of electrician experience preferred

· Proficient with standard industry tools and techniques

· Able to read blueprints and schematic drawings

· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
