Mechanical Assembler

Summary

This position is hands-on and requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment. Assemblers play a key role in producing high-quality products that meet strict customer specifications.

8 am-4:30 pm

Primary Responsibilities

• Assemble products according to job specifications using hand tools, power tools, hoists, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Read and interpret measurements accurately (must be able to use a tape measure down to 1/16 inch).
• Perform mechanical assembly with some electrical connections and functional testing.
• Follow work direction from lead assemblers and experienced employees.
• Move material to and from assembly area using pallet jacks and hoists.
• Inspect product for quality and accuracy, signing off on completed work.
• Package finished product for safe, damage-free shipment.
• Assist other assemblers with lifting or equipment operation as needed.
• Provide backup support for warehouse tasks including pallet banding, skid building, and loading/unloading trucks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch (required).
• Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Ability to follow instructions, work within a team, and meet production timelines.
• Must be safety-conscious, dependable, and detail-oriented.
