Maintenance Mechanic

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. Your mission is to keep our plant running safely and reliably by providing top-tier technical support to our manufacturing and packaging departments. From preventative maintenance to complex troubleshooting of high-speed machinery, you will be the go-to expert ensuring our production goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild gearheads, reducers, and pumps; install seals, bearings, belts, chains, and sprockets.
• Wire and repair electric motors and lighting; troubleshoot solenoids, switches, and timers, ensuring compliance with National Electric Code (NEC).
• Diagnose and fix complex, high-speed filling and packaging equipment, including barcode scanners and ink printers.
• Weld stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminum; fabricate guards and parts using plasma cutters and torches.
• Run piping lines (Black Iron, Stainless, PVC, Copper) and maintain plant utility systems.
• Execute daily preventative maintenance tasks to prevent downtime and ensure a safe working environment.
• Use precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and multimeters; operate lathes, mills, winches, and welders.
• Read and execute work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; adjust timing systems, liquid line seamers, bottle sealers, and cappers.
• Maintain compliance with FDA (GMP), USDA, and OSHA regulations; keep a clean and organized shop and manage repair records and spare parts inventory.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Mechanical repair and electrical wiring expertise
• Strong troubleshooting and welding skills
• Knowledge of safety compliance standards
