Robert Half is partnering with a local healthcare organization in the New Haven area to identify a detail-oriented and customer-focused Patient Access Facilitator for a contract assignment. This position plays a key role in creating a positive patient experience by managing registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and front-end administrative support.


Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
  • Complete patient registration and maintain accurate demographic information
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage prior to appointments
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
  • Obtain required authorizations and referrals as needed
  • Collect co-pays and process patient payments in accordance with organizational procedures
  • Review and update patient records to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and documentation
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries
  • Coordinate with clinical staff and other departments to support efficient patient flow
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in patient access, patient registration, medical reception, healthcare customer service, or a related healthcare administrative role preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and healthcare registration processes
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
