Job Description
Make a difference for students across PreK-8th grade as a vital member of a dedicated educational community. This full-time, contract position as a School Psychologist offers an opportunity to provide assessment, consultation, and counseling services to a diverse student population. The specific grade level and caseload will be determined prior to assignment, so adaptability and a collaborative approach are key. Comfort working with any elementary or middle school student group is a must.
The district supports innovative practices and is open to some hybrid flexibility where applicable. Experience with a range of social, emotional, and behavioral needs is valued, and bilingual proficiency in Spanish is especially appreciated to support communication with families and students.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- State licensure in School Psychology (PEL with School Psychologist endorsement required)
- Experience working within PreK-8 school settings preferred
- Ability to adapt to various grade levels and caseload needs
- Strong collaboration skills; ability to work with educators, families, and other professionals
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred, but not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments for students across all grade levels
- Consult with teachers, families, and staff to develop effective support strategies
- Provide direct counseling or group interventions as appropriate
- Contribute to multidisciplinary teams and special education processes
- Maintain clear, confidential records and fulfill all school and state documentation requirements
