Laboratory Technologist (Mobile Lab) | Evenings | Full-Time

Summary

We are hiring a Laboratory Technologist for a full-time, permanent opportunity in San Leandro, CA. This mobile laboratory role is ideal for LVNs, Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs), or Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS) with laboratory testing experience who are passionate about delivering high-quality diagnostic services in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Pay

• $26.00 – $32.00 per hour

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Monday – Friday
• 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• Weekend and On-Call requirements discussed during the interview

Key Responsibilities

• Perform waived laboratory testing in a mobile laboratory setting.
• Receive and process specimens from phlebotomists and couriers.
• Enter patient demographics and test orders into the laboratory information system.
• Perform point-of-care testing in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Molecular, and Coagulation.
• Verify quality control and report abnormal results appropriately.
• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection as needed.
• Process specimens and maintain accurate documentation.
• Monitor STAT testing turnaround times.
• Troubleshoot laboratory instruments and perform routine maintenance.
• Drive the mobile laboratory vehicle when required.
• Follow all laboratory safety and quality assurance standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Active California LVN, MLT, or CLS License (Required).
• Phlebotomist-only candidates are not eligible.
• Familiarity with laboratory workflow and testing procedures.
• Previous laboratory testing and phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Valid California Driver’s License with a good driving record.
• COVID-19 Vaccination or approved exemption required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
