CNC Programmer / Production Control

Schedule: Mon - Fri, 6 AM - 4 PM

Job Overview

We are hiring a CNC Programmer / Production Control (CNC Nesting Planner) to support production operations in a fast-paced welding and fabrication manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in production scheduling, CNC programming support, job planning, material utilization, and manufacturing workflow coordination to ensure the CNC plasma table operates efficiently across both shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage daily nesting plans for the CNC plasma table
• Prioritize jobs and production schedules using spreadsheets, email, and other planning tools
• Import files and prepare nested jobs to support continuous machine operation
• Ensure proper routing and utilization of available material sizes
• Coordinate production priorities to help maintain efficiency across multiple shifts
• Work closely with Quality Control and Purchasing departments to monitor material consumption and job completion
• Maintain sufficient nested work orders to keep CNC equipment operating efficiently
• Support overall production control and fabrication workflow planning

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency with AutoCAD
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Effective email and written communication skills
• Strong organizational, scheduling, and planning abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with CNC nesting software
• Experience in metal fabrication, welding, manufacturing, or production planning environments
