Responsibilities include supporting a “regular” special education classroom with a manageable caseload of 15-20 third and fourth-grade students. Here, you’ll implement individualized strategies, collaborate closely with other educators, and foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Active VT special education teaching certificate/license (required)
- Experience or strong interest working with third and fourth-grade students
- Skill in developing and executing IEPs
- Ability to maintain positive rapport with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to fostering student growth in a non-intensive classroom setting
Responsibilities:
- Lead a full-time classroom, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm
- Develop lesson plans tailored to diverse learners
- Support 15-20 students’ unique educational goals
- Work collaboratively with case management and support teams
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation
