Responsibilities\n- \n
- Work rotating shifts with a 6-week schedule, including every other weekend, based on unit needs. \n
- Float to various units as required. \n
- Provide comprehensive care in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) setting. \n
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to all healthcare regulations and protocols. \n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services. \n
- Administer medications, manage cardiac drips, and provide post-operative care. \n
- Utilize Cerner charting system for patient documentation. \n
- \n
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with previous charge experience preferred. \n
- Current PA or Compact nursing license. \n
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required. \n
- Proficiency in managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP, and central line care. \n
- Experience in telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation. \n
- Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night. \n
- Experience with PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patient care is essential. \n
- Strong skills in isolation precautions and PPE usage. \n
