Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an ICU RN with a minimum of 2 years ICU/Stepdown experience for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring a SC or compact RN license.

  • ICU setting within a hospital environment
  • \n
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • \n
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • \n
  • Every other weekend required
  • \n
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • \n
  • Floating required within scope to sister units/facilities as needed, with agency staff floated first
  • \n
  • Holiday rotation required
  • \n
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start
  • \n
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
  • \n
  • NIHSS certification preferred
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • \n
  • Prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience required
  • \n
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • \n
  • First-time travelers accepted if they have prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience
  • \n
Additional Information\n
    \n
  • Royal blue scrub color required
  • \n
  • Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be considered, as local candidates are not accepted
  • \n
  • Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • \n
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration, as approval is based on facility needs
  • \n
  • Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 week period
  • \n
  • Block scheduling accommodation may be requested but is not guaranteed
  • \n
  • During hurricane season (June through November, peak activity in August and September), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
  • \n
  • Free parking available on-site
