DT-Trak Consulting is seeking a qualified Dental Assistant to support clinical dental operations at the Red Lake Service Unit, an Indian Health Service (IHS) facility providing comprehensive oral health services to American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities. This assignment directly supports continuity of care for an underserved patient population during a period of increased clinical demand.

\n Responsibilities
\n • Assist dentists during clinical procedures
\n • Prepare and sterilize instruments
\n • Take dental radiographs, as authorized
\n • Maintain infection control protocols
\n • Chart and document patient care in the electronic health record (EHR)
\n • Prepare and educate patients prior to and during treatment
\n Qualifications
\n • Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program (preferred)
\n • Current state certification, if required by the state of practice
\n • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
\n • Minimum one (1) year of clinical dental assisting experience
\n • Cultural competency in working with American Indian/Alaska Native populations preferred
\n • Experience in rural or underserved clinical settings highly desirable
\n Requirements Prior to Start
\n • Proof of credentialing and licensure (as applicable)
\n • Completed federal background investigation / Personal Identity Verification (PIV) requirements
\n • Documented proof of required immunizations per IHS/HHS healthcare personnel policy
\n • Compliance with HIPAA, the Privacy Act of 1974, and applicable federal privacy requirements
\n • Orientation verification prior to start of assignment

Schedule Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (CST); federal holidays excluded unless otherwise authorized Weekly Hours 40 hours/week (full-time schedule) Assignment Length Initial term through 7/31/2027, with potential renewal option years through 2031 Pay Rate $28.69/hour (taxable) Per Diem $840/week (lodging & meals stipend, subject to eligibility) Travel Reimbursement $500 one-time travel allowance
