American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for a hospital-based role requiring prior case management experience and an active CA RN license.

- Acute hospital setting within a Case Management/Utilization Review department \n
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM \n
- No on-call requirements \n
- Epic charting system preferred \n
- Business casual dress attire required; no scrubs needed \n

- Active CA RN license required \n
- BSN required \n
- BLS certification (AHA) required \n
- Minimum 2 years of clinical hospital RN experience required \n
- Minimum 2-3 years of hospital-based case management experience required, including discharge planning and utilization review \n
- Community inpatient hospital experience preferred \n
- Knowledge of InterQual criteria is a plus \n
- Prior travel assignment experience required \n

- Responsibilities include determining medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines, discharge planning, needs assessment, and DME ordering \n
- Utilizes InterQual criteria for admission and utilization review processes \n
- Ensures compliance with CMS and HIPAA regulatory guidelines \n
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate \n
- Recommended to keep RTO under 7 days per assignment when possible \n
- Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or permanent employees must have a 12-month separation before reapplying \n
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position \n
