American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for a hospital-based role requiring prior case management experience and an active CA RN license.

  • Acute hospital setting within a Case Management/Utilization Review department
  • \n
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • \n
  • No on-call requirements
  • \n
  • Epic charting system preferred
  • \n
  • Business casual dress attire required; no scrubs needed
  • \n
Requirements\n

  • Active CA RN license required
  • \n
  • BSN required
  • \n
  • BLS certification (AHA) required
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical hospital RN experience required
  • \n
  • Minimum 2-3 years of hospital-based case management experience required, including discharge planning and utilization review
  • \n
  • Community inpatient hospital experience preferred
  • \n
  • Knowledge of InterQual criteria is a plus
  • \n
  • Prior travel assignment experience required
  • \n
Additional Information\n

  • Responsibilities include determining medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines, discharge planning, needs assessment, and DME ordering
  • \n
  • Utilizes InterQual criteria for admission and utilization review processes
  • \n
  • Ensures compliance with CMS and HIPAA regulatory guidelines
  • \n
  • Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
  • \n
  • Recommended to keep RTO under 7 days per assignment when possible
  • \n
  • Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or permanent employees must have a 12-month separation before reapplying
  • \n
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • \n
