American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of MRI experience and expertise in conditional implant scanning for an acute care hospital setting.

- Work in a 3 MRI scanner department featuring a GE Architect 3T, GE Artist 1.5T, and Siemens Sola 1.5T, all wide bore scanners \n
- Acute care hospital setting serving all age groups from infants to geriatrics \n
- Perform conditional implant exams daily including MR conditional pacemakers, ICDs, and stimulators \n
- Department operates all 3 scanners 8a-8p or 9p Monday-Friday and 2 scanners 9a-9p on weekends \n
- 3x12 hour day shifts, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday-Wednesday \n
- 24/7 department with shift lengths varying between 8, 10, and 12 hours \n
- Schedules typically include weekday and weekend coverage \n
- Holiday rotation required \n
- Back-up call required on 3rd shift to cover call-outs or high volume situations \n
- May float to any Cone Health campus as needed \n
- EPIC EMR experience required \n
- \n
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required \n
- Must be registered in MRI with ARRT or ARMRIT \n
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred \n
- License required if applicable \n
- GE and Siemens equipment experience required \n
- Experience with anesthesia, pediatric sedation, and ventilator ICU patients required \n
- General pediatric experience with non-sedated patients required \n
- Experience scanning conditional devices using SAR and/or B1+RMS guidance, with ability to manipulate parameters to meet scanning conditions \n
- Experience with Level II Trauma, pacemakers, ICDs, and conditional implants required \n
- Community hospital experience required; teaching hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred \n
- EPIC charting system experience required \n
- Must be able to work with patient populations ranging from infants to geriatrics \n
- Current driver's license required to verify address \n
- Active license must be in hand at time of consideration \n
- Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG compliance exam with two attempts allowed \n
- \n
- Perform a variety of MRI exams across abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular imaging including MR angiography and cardiac MRI \n
- Utilize special imaging procedures such as CINE, diffusion imaging, perfusion, spectroscopy, and image post-processing techniques \n
- Prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs as needed \n
- Follow radiation safety and isolation precaution protocols \n
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply \n
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local rates apply \n
- RTO must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO accepted \n
- No open cases permitted on background check \n
