Shift: 5x8/DAYS, GT: 40, Start: 8/24/26, ON CALL REQUIREMENT: as needed per facility,  MUST HAVE 3 YEARS RECENT DON EXPERIENCE, facility can provide housing if available, facility will conduct their own background and drug screen in conjunction with the background and drug screen the traveler will complete for his/her agency - the results of the facility background and drug screen can take anywhere from 7-10 business days to post - the traveler cannot start their assignment until the facility has the results of their own background and drug screen.

\n

MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

\n

- Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs the overall operations of the Nursing Services department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current state and federal laws and regulations.

\n

- Interprets and communicates policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation.

\n

- Participates in all admission decisions.

\n

- Participates in daily or weekly management team meetings to discuss census changes, resident changes in status, complaints, or concerns.

\n

- Evaluates work performance of all nursing personnel and implements discipline according to operational policies.

\n

- Participate in QAPI or facility assessment activities as needed, such as carrying out duties assigned as part of a performance improvement committee.

\n

- Facilitates, serves, attends or participates in various committees of the facility as appointed.

\n

- Ensures delivery of compassionate quality care and nursing supervision as evidenced by adequate staff coverage on the units, general cleanliness, and maintaining optimal resident functions.

\n

- On call as needed by the facility.

\n

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

\n

•     A Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.

\n

•     Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing home, or other related health care facility.

\n

•     CPR/BLS cert.

\n

Guaranteed Hours: 40

\n

Contract Length (in weeks): 13
