\nSchedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (06:00 - 18:00), 13-week assignment. Weekend requirement of 3 out of 6 weekends. Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's). 40 hours of orientation provided.

- Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP) – Level 3 Trauma facility \n
- Patient ratio of 4:1 across all shifts with approximately 135 visits per day \n
- 20 rooms, 26 beds, average daily census of 105 patients \n
- All age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics \n
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and lift teams \n
- First-time travelers welcome with 1 year of experience required \n

- Valid California RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted) \n
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience \n
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC (or willingness to obtain prior to start), ENPC \n
- Epic charting system experience required \n
- Community hospital experience preferred \n
- Willingness to float to Observation Unit (ER Hold patients) and potentially to affiliate facilities nearby \n
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years \n
- Must reside outside 50-mile local radius \n
This is an excellent opportunity for Emergency Department nurses seeking a comprehensive trauma experience in a beautiful Northern California coastal community. The position offers exposure to diverse patient populations across all age groups with strong interdisciplinary support and a 4:1 patient ratio. Time off requests are accommodated with no more than 7 days per assignment, and you'll have the flexibility to wear your own scrubs (no prints). Housing options may be limited in the area, so early planning is recommended.
