\n 36-Hour Schedule
\n Total Pay: $68/hour
\n Weekly Gross Pay: $2304
\n W2 Pay (Taxable): $39.2/hour
\n Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,414/week Total Pay: $68/hour

\n W2 Pay (Taxable): $24.7/hour

\n Overtime Pay: $78/hour (After 40 Hours)

\n Job Summary

\n We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at SUNY Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and the ability to provide high-quality, patient-centred care in a fast-paced acute care environment. This is an excellent opportunity for travel nurses looking to expand their experience while working with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.

\n Responsibilities
\n Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised patient care for critically ill patients.
\n Monitor patient conditions, recognise changes, and respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
\n Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
\n Operate and monitor critical care equipment, including cardiac monitors and ventilators.
\n Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
\n Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
\n Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care.
\n Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and patient safety protocols.
\n Requirements

\n Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
\n Recent ICU experience in an acute care hospital.
\n Current BLS (AHA) certification.
\n Current ACLS (AHA) certification.
\n NIHSS certification required.
\n Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient assessment skills.
\n Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

\n Additional Information
\n 13-week travel assignment with immediate start.
\n Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
\n 36 guaranteed hours per week.
\n Comprehensive orientation, including Epic training and unit-specific competency validation.
\n Drug screening is required every six months while on assignment.
\n Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted per contract.
\n Holiday blackout dates apply.
