This is a permanent position for a leadership role at a hospital in Connecticut.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Oversee daily Operating Room operations, staffing, and workflow.
  • \n
  • Schedule and assign OR staff based on patient needs, staff experience, and case volume.
  • \n
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate staff performance, including disciplinary action when necessary.
  • \n
  • Support staff education, orientation, competency validation, and professional development.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, physicians, and other departments to ensure efficient patient care and surgical flow.
  • \n
  • Promote quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance by monitoring care and following up on incidents.
  • \n
  • Assist with policy development, implementation, and process improvement initiatives.
  • \n
  • Manage resources, equipment, and staffing in a cost-effective manner.
  • \n
  • Review documentation to ensure standards of care are met.
  • \n
  • Serve as a clinical resource, mentor, and role model for the surgical team.
  • \n
  • Remain visible and accessible throughout the department to resolve issues and improve operations.
  • \n
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications\n
    \n
  • Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • \n
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • \n
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred.
  • \n
  • 3–5 years of Operating Room clinical experience.
  • \n
  • Previous supervisory or management experience required.
  • \n
  • CNOR certification preferred.
  • \n
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to use hospital software systems.
  • \n
