Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a TX or compact RN license and travel experience.

Details\n

\n
• >ICU unit with 10 beds
\n
• Patient ratio of 1:2
\n
• Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12), 19:00-7:00
\n
• Block schedule approved
\n
• Epic charting system required
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of submittal
\n
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS and TNCC preferred
\n
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
\n
• Prior travel nursing experience required
\n
• Epic EMR experience required
\n
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
\n
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/PICC/arterial line management, and blood product administration
\n
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory suctioning
\n
• Experience managing cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and IV insulin protocols
\n
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
\n
• Experience with CVA/acute stroke management and multisystem organ dysfunction care
\n
• Experience with pre/post cardiac catheterization care and Swan Ganz monitoring preferred
\n

Additional Information\n

\n
• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing across a broad range of ICU patient conditions including cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, neurological, and GI cases
\n
• Not accepting candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
\n
• Not accepting candidates residing in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
\n
• Previous staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
\n
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
\n
• All RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
\n
• First-time travelers may be considered based on position details
\n
