Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (Nights)
Location\nRockford, IL
Schedule / Job Type\nContract | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in the care of Labor & Delivery patients. \n
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and applicable state laws. \n
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient plans of care as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction. \n
- Document patient care activities in accordance with established standards of care. \n
- Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. \n
- Apply critical thinking skills to support patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command as needed. \n

- Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. \n
- Current CPR, ACLS, and NRP certifications. \n
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required. \n
- High-risk Labor & Delivery experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center. \n
- \n
- Experience providing clinical expertise and guidance across units or departments in support of longitudinal patient care plans. \n
- Familiarity with shared governance models and unit-level performance improvement initiatives. \n
- \n
