American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg-Tele position requiring telemetry interpretation skills, an OR RN license, and Epic charting experience.

- Work in the MS/Tele unit of a critical access, Level III trauma teaching hospital \n
- Patient ratios of 1:4-5 \n
- Responsible for interpreting and managing telemetry, a hardstop requirement for this role \n
- Day shift (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:00) or Night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00) schedules available \n
- Required to work every other weekend \n
- No on-call responsibilities \n
- Floating to other units and nearby affiliate facilities required based on facility needs and clinician skill set \n
- Scrubs of any color permitted; scrubs provided for OR, Critical Care, ED, and Maternal Child units \n
- No fee for parking \n

- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required, OR license required (may submit with license pending unless otherwise specified) \n
- Current BLS certification required \n
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required \n
- Epic charting experience required \n
- Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and blood product administration \n
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias \n
- Experience with respiratory support including high flow nasal cannula, nasal cannula, and oxygen administration \n
- Experience with neurological/psychiatric care including CVA management \n
- Experience with IV insulin and heparin protocols \n
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use \n
- Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment \n
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required \n
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration \n

- Provide direct nursing care within a Med/Surg-Tele unit, managing telemetry monitoring and related interventions \n
- May float to sister facilities within the region, including locations in Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent \n
- Additional incentive pay and mileage reimbursement offered for shifts floated to the Seaside facility, with hotel accommodations provided for consecutive floated shifts \n
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) \n
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process; limited RTO is auto-approved (6 total days or 3 consecutive days), with additional time subject to client approval \n
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply \n
- Former permanent employees at this health system must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility \n
