Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a minimum of 5 years of high-risk L&D experience and prior travel experience.

Details\n

\n
• Work in the OB/GYN unit providing L&D, OB, and newborn care
\n
• Unit includes 12 postpartum rooms, 4 swing/antepartum rooms, 5 labor rooms, 4 triage rooms, and 2 operating rooms
\n
• High-risk patient population
\n
• Patient ratios: 1:3 on Labor and Delivery, 1:3 antepartum, and 1:6 mother/baby couplet
\n
• Uses Epic EMR and Pyxis medication system
\n
• Uses Alaris pumps, epidural pumps, and PAS lower extremity pumps
\n
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
\n
• Every other weekend (Fri/Sat) required
\n
• Call rotation required with potential 4-hour mandation block as needed
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN license (CT or Compact) currently in hand
\n
• Current certifications: NRP, ACLS, and BLS
\n
• Fetal monitoring certification preferred but not required
\n
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-risk Labor & Delivery required
\n
• Prior OB experience required
\n
• Prior travel nursing experience required
\n

• Provide comprehensive nursing care across labor, delivery, postpartum, antepartum, and newborn care areas
\n
• May be included in the unit's rotation pool for additional hours as needed to ensure coverage
\n
• Scrubs are provided by the unit
\n
• Local candidates accepted

• Radius rate rules apply based on distance from the facility
