Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Rehab RN with cardiac rehab and telemetry interpretation experience for a 13-week community hospital assignment requiring a MO or compact RN license.

  • Community hospital setting within the Rehab unit
  • \n
  • Cardiac rehab patient population including angina, hypertension, post cardiac surgery, post MI, and post vascular surgery cases
  • \n
  • Provides on-unit telemetry monitoring
  • \n
  • Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • \n
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • \n
  • Block scheduling available unless staffing gaps require balancing coverage across staff
  • \n
  • Self-scheduling model used by staff
  • \n
  • Floating required in rotation with staff according to facility floating policies and clinical experience
  • \n
Requirements\n
    \n
  • Active RN license (MO or Compact) required at time of submission and must be in-hand prior to start
  • \n
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, AHA preferred
  • \n
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • \n
  • Community hospital experience required
  • \n
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • \n
  • Charge nurse experience preferred
  • \n
  • Epic charting experience preferred but not required
  • \n
  • Skilled in telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia recognition, and management of cardiac arrest and dysrhythmias
  • \n
  • Experience with blood glucose monitoring, diabetic teaching, fall risk assessment/prevention, infection prevention, and pain assessment and management
  • \n
Additional Information\n

  • Responsible for cardiac rehab patient care including monitoring, teaching, and management of cardiac-related conditions
  • \n
  • Provides patient teaching on diabetes management, fall prevention, and pain management
  • \n
  • Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
  • \n
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
  • \n
  • Some holiday and weekend coverage expected
  • \n
  • RTO requests should be submitted with initial assignment request, with a preference for no time off during the first few weeks of the assignment
  • \n
  • Appropriate orientation provided when floating to other units in accordance with Joint Commission standards
  • \n
