American Traveler is hiring a night-shift MRI Technologist requiring 2+ years of recent hospital MRI experience and ARRT-MR certification.
Details\n- \n
- Hospital-based MRI department \n
- Adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient population, with familiarity with neonates, infants, and pediatrics preferred \n
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, Wed/Thu/Sat from 18:30 to 07:00 \n
- 13-20 week contracts accepted \n
- No call requirement \n
- No floating requirement \n
- Uses GE and Siemens equipment \n
- EPIC charting system \n
- Scrubs must be royal blue \n
- \n
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital MRI experience required \n
- BLS and ARRT-MR certification required (license required if applicable) \n
- NC or Compact license accepted pending at submission \n
- Travel experience required; unit will not accept first-time travelers \n
- Proficiency in abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging \n
- Experience with diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, peripheral MRA, spin echo images, surface coils, T1 and T2 weighted images, and CINE \n
- Chest imaging and image post-processing experience preferred \n

- May be assigned to a Storm Team or Hurricane Team and required to report during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster \n
- Contract staff may be reassigned to other units mid-contract during centralization \n
- Weekly hospital orientation with unit orientation from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; traveler must be available for all orientation classes \n
- Pre-start modules required (approximately 8-10 hours for acute care roles), completed online via Chrome or Edge, and must be renewed annually \n
- Local candidates accepted within 50 miles at a lower rate \n
- Former Novant/New Hanover PERM, PRN, or EP employees must wait 12 months before applying and must disclose prior employment details for facility approval \n
- Current travel or per diem clinicians must choose between travel and per diem status and disclose intent at submission \n
- Up to 7 days RTO auto-approved (excluding holidays); no RTO allowed during first week; must work 2 of 3 major holidays \n
- Travel pairs allowed if placed on different units with separate transportation and schedules \n
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position \n
