Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications along with AZ or compact RN licensure.

Details\n

\n
• Work in the OB/Gyn unit of a hospital with an 8-bed labor, delivery, and post-partum unit
\n
• Patient population includes laboring patients, post-partum, and neonates
\n
• Common diagnoses/treatments include term and late preterm indications such as gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes
\n
• Patient ratios vary based on acuity
\n
• Uses IV pumps, epidural pumps, fetal monitoring equipment, fetal doppler, and syringe pumps
\n
• EHR system is Med Host plus Centricity; Centricity experience preferred
\n
• Night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
\n
• Required to work every other weekend (Friday/Saturday nights)
\n
• No call requirements
\n
• No floating requirements
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) currently in hand
\n
• Current certifications: NRP, STABLE, AWHONN (Intermediate or Advanced), and ACLS
\n
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
\n
• Labor and delivery experience required, including postpartum, well baby, and stabilization of critically ill newborns for transfer
\n
• LDRP experience preferred
\n
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
\n
• AHA certifications required
\n

• Provide direct nursing care in labor, delivery, and post-partum settings including stabilization of critical newborns for transfer
\n
• Facility is a Level 1 trauma center with a Well Baby Center
\n
• Weekly orientation offered
\n
• Black scrubs required
\n
• Team player with a flexible schedule preferred
\n
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
\n
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
\n
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
\n
