LPN Med Nurse (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

Full-Time & Part-Time Available | Union Position

The Pavilion at Queens is seeking compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our nursing team. As an LPN Med Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care by administering medications and treatments, monitoring resident health, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care.

Schedule

We are currently hiring for two (2) positions on the 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM shift:

  • One Full-Time position

  • One Part-Time position

These are union positions, and every other weekend is required.

Qualifications
  • Current New York State LPN license in good standing.

  • Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to recognize and report changes in resident condition.

  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus.

  • Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.

  • Document medications, treatments, and resident care accurately in the EMR.

  • Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate findings to the nursing team.

  • Perform nursing procedures including wound care, blood glucose monitoring, tube feedings, and other assigned treatments.

  • Maintain medication carts and medication storage areas in compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Ensure accurate controlled substance counts and follow all medication safety protocols.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, CNAs, and other members of the healthcare team.

  • Follow infection prevention, resident safety, and facility policies.

  • Perform other nursing duties as assigned by the Nursing Supervisor or Director of Nursing.
