About the Opportunity
We're partnering with a client seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a temporary engagement supporting audit and year-end close activities. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of accounting experience, strong reconciliation expertise, audit support experience, and advanced Excel skills. CPA and Dynamics GP experience are a plus. This is a great opportunity to make an immediate impact while working alongside a collaborative accounting leadership team
Key Responsibilities
- Support audit and year-end close processes in partnership with accounting leadership
- Assist with external audit requests, including gathering samples and supporting documentation.
- Review workpapers for accuracy and completeness prior to submission.
- Coordinate audit support requests and ensure timely delivery of required information.
- Prepare and support year-end journal entries and related schedules.
- Assist in executing the year-end close calendar and meeting critical deadlines.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, including:
- Fixed Assets
- Accounts Receivable
- Deferred Revenue
- Accruals
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
- Provide support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams as needed.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience supporting external audits.
- Strong hands-on experience with balance sheet reconciliations.
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
- CPA designation.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar ERP systems.
