MRI TechnologistEvenings Mon thru Fri 2pm-9:30pmDescription:Orthopaedic Specialty Group, P.C., is currently seeking a full-time (30-hours) MRI Technologist for their Fairfield, Connecticut facility. As an MRI Technologist you will be responsible for maintaining imaging equipment to ensure that patients are protected and in an optimal position for imaging. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal communication skills as well the ability to communicate and engage with physicians, and patients. MRI Technologist will be responsible for gathering patient medical histories, explaining the scanning process, as well as review and document all patient related records. The MRI Technologist is also responsible for assisting Radiologist with special procedures such as arthrograms. Candidates should have both technical and physical strength necessary to operate the scanner.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform MRI procedures as ordered with a high level of quality, care and timelinessEscort patients to dressing rooms and procedure roomExplain MRI procedures and answer any questions or concernsMaintain and follow all MRI safety guidelinesComplete related paperworkAdminister I.V. contrastConduct Quality Control when needed, monitor machine and equipment reporting any malfunctions to site supervisor/managerQualifications:Associate Degree or equivalent 2-year college or technical school6-12 months experience and/or training preferredARRT (R) requiredARRT (R)(MRI) preferredOrthopaedic Specialty Group, P.C., is an Equal Opportunity Employer
