WELDER HELPER

Monday - Thursday

5:30 AM - 4:00 PM

$18.50 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist welders and fabrication team members with production, setup, and cleanup tasks.
Measure, cut, grind, clean, and organize metal components for welding and assembly.
Operate a bandsaw to cut materials to required measurements and specifications.
Grind, deburr, and finish parts to remove sharp edges, weld spatter, and surface imperfections.
Assemble components using rivet guns, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment.
Fit, align, and position materials before welding and final assembly.
Read and follow work instructions, basic drawings, measurements, and job specifications.
Verify material dimensions and inspect completed work for accuracy and quality.
Load, unload, move, and stage materials using proper lifting techniques and material-handling equipment as needed.
Maintain an organized work area and follow all safety procedures, including required PPE use.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Previous welding, fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial shop experience preferred.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Bandsaw or similar cutting-equipment experience preferred.
Experience with grinders, metal preparation, rivet guns, or mechanical assembly.
Basic understanding of metal fabrication and welding operations.
Ability to read measurements, work instructions, and basic drawings.
