Collaborative Therapies is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our growing school-based team. If you're passionate about helping students improve mobility, independence, and participation in their educational environment, we'd love to meet you.

As a School-Based Physical Therapist, you'll work alongside educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students develop the physical skills necessary to safely access their learning environment and achieve their educational goals.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate students to assess gross motor skills, mobility, strength, balance, posture, and functional movement.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable therapy goals based on student needs.
• Provide direct and indirect physical therapy services in accordance with each student's IEP.
• Monitor student progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and required Medicaid billing (where applicable).
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Consult with teachers, parents, and school staff regarding mobility, positioning, adaptive equipment, and accessibility.
• Recommend and monitor the use of assistive technology and adaptive equipment to support student participation.
• Help students safely access classrooms, playgrounds, transportation, and other school environments.

Applicants must have:

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Current state Physical Therapist (PT) license or eligibility for licensure.
• Department of Education certification or eligibility, if required by the school district.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education procedures.
• Experience working with students with orthopedic impairments, developmental delays, cerebral palsy, neurological disorders, or other physical disabilities.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Passion for helping students achieve greater mobility, independence, and participation in school activities.
