Operational Designer II

Location: Houston, Texas (onsite)Reports to: Supervisor Operational EngineeringCollaborates with: Engineering, Sales, ProductionPrimary Responsibility: Provide modeling, sales, and fabrication drawings for MIRATECH product lines.What You'll Do:Complete 3D SolidWorks model modifications for made-to-order MIRATECH products.Create Submittal and Dimensional drawings for sales support.Create production and assembly drawings for fabrication.Dimensional verification and quality control of finished drawings.Continuous focus on cost reductions in design and fabrication by working with the production group.Understand fabrication design techniques and the cost impact of design assembly drawings and materials.Communicate thoroughly and regularly to establish a warm working relationship with internal and external customers.Other duties as assigned.What Qualifies You:Associate's degree in Drafting or Engineering from an accredited technical school, college or university.Proficient with SolidWorks modeling and drawing creation; sheet metal experience a plus.Prefer 2 (+) years of direct industrial, engineering, or production drafting and support experience.Proficient in MS Excel.SOLIDWORKS CSWP or CSWE preferred.Working knowledge of Syspro ERP software desired.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently to produce high-caliber deliverables in a short time frame.Proficient with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).What's in it for You:Health, Dental & Vision Insurance Annual Bonus Program $350 Annual Wellness Credit Flexible Spending Account (FSA) 401k with match up to 5% Life insurance Disability insurance Onsite Gym5 days of paid sick leave annually (prorated based on start date) 15 days PTO annually (prorated based on start date)Equal Opportunity: MIRATECH is an equal-opportunity employer and supports a diverse and inclusive workforce.
