Collaborative Therapies is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing school-based team. If you're passionate about helping students develop the skills they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond, we'd love to meet you.

As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you'll partner with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students in developing the fine motor, sensory, self-care, and functional skills that promote independence and academic success.


What You'll Do

  • Evaluate students to identify functional, sensory, motor, and developmental needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable therapy goals.
  • Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services in accordance with each student's IEP.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and required Medicaid billing (where applicable).
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and school staff to recommend classroom strategies, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications.
  • Promote student participation in classroom routines, daily activities, and school-based learning.


Applicants must have:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state Occupational Therapist (OT) license or eligibility for licensure.
  • NBCOT certification preferred or required based on state requirements.
  • Department of Education certification or eligibility, if required by the school district.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education procedures.
  • Experience supporting students with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing challenges, orthopedic impairments, or fine motor needs.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for helping students achieve greater independence and success.
