Black Hills Special Services Cooperative is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator.Black Hills Special Services Cooperative (BHSSC) is a public entity that is an educational cooperative under the State of South Dakota. BHSSC is comprised of five divisions dedicated to aiding school districts, individuals, and the communities. Wage-$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 based on experienceJob Type-Full-time, ExemptWork Location-Hybrid work opportunityCandidates should be located in Rapid City, Pierre, or Sioux FallsJob Description-Support communication, engagement, coordination, and collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, funded entities, and cross-sector partners to strengthen rural healthcare, EMS, workforce development, and community-based service delivery.Coordinate and monitor data collection, progress reporting, and strategic planning implementation for funded projects, ensuring timely completion and effective project management.Provide technical assistance, training, and ongoing support to funded entities, including guidance for rural EMS transformation initiatives and implementation of best practices.Develop and assist with communication materials while identifying and promoting evidence-based and innovative approaches to improve healthcare delivery in rural, tribal, and frontier communities.Manage, assess, prioritize, and complete multiple projects, assignments, and organizational priorities independently and as part of a collaborative team.Attend meetings, trainings, seminars, and other professional development activities as required to support program objectives and organizational goals.Perform all duties in accordance with organizational safety practices, policies, and procedures, and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.Job Qualifications-Bachelor's or Master's degree in a health-related field (e.g., Public Health, Health Behavior, Health Education, Health Sciences, or Nursing) with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience.Experience working with rural, tribal, and underserved or minority populations, with knowledge of resources and services that support health equity and community access.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, healthcare professionals, public agencies, educational institutions, and community partners.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and correspondence, interpret policies and procedures, and deliver presentations to healthcare professionals and stakeholder groups.Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to interpret written, verbal, and visual instructions and manage diverse situations effectively.Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and perform basic mathematical calculations as required for program operations.Possession of a valid South Dakota Driver's License and the ability to successfully complete required employment screenings, examinations, and interviews.Benefits-Health, Dental, and Life InsuranceHealth Savings Account OptionsSouth Dakota RetirementAnnual LeaveSick LeaveCompany Website-Bhssc.orgFor additional questions regarding this position, please contact Brooke Lusk, 605-494-3602 or blusk@bhssc.org.
