School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) / SLP Assistant (SLP-A)

Collaborative Therapies is seeking compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-As) to join our growing school-based team. Responsibilities will vary based on your credential and state scope of practice.

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs)

• Evaluate students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and therapy goals.
• Provide direct speech-language therapy services.
• Complete evaluations, progress reports, and required documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Supervise SLP-As when required by state regulations.
• Consult with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress.

Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-As)

• Deliver speech-language therapy under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Implement treatment plans and therapy activities.
• Document student progress and treatment sessions.
• Prepare therapy materials and assist with screenings as permitted.
• Collaborate with supervising SLPs and educational staff.
• Support students in developing effective communication skills.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current state SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred where applicable.
• Department of Education certification or eligibility if required by the school district.

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A)

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field meeting state requirements.
• Current state SLP-A license or registration, where required.
• Eligible to practice under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous school-based or pediatric experience.
• Experience working with IEPs and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for helping children reach their full potential.
