Respiratory Therapist

Assist patients of all ages who suffer from pulmonary (breathing) disorders. In addition to analyzing and performing diagnostic testing, Respiratory Therapists perform relevant exams and control patients' blood-oxygen levels, as well as set up and utilize Respiratory care equipment and machines needed to assist or monitor the patients breathing.Responsibilities:Perform Respiratory care modalities on patients.Document all Respiratory care delivered.Provide patient education.Maintain and manage department ventilators.Participate in arterial procedures designed to analyze arterial blood gases.Requirements:Graduation from an AMA or JRCRTE approved programMust be licensed in the state of Illinois.Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers - CPR/AHA certification required. CRT Required. Preferred RRTNRP preferred.Experience in all modalities of Respiratory care through clinical application.
