Job Title/Code: Operator I, Modulator Winder   Job Code: OP101Department: Coil Department Reports To: Production Supervisor Job Type: Full time, non-exempt Location: Tinley Park, 100% on-site Position Summary:This position will be responsible for assembly and testing of components that are used in the manufacturing of fiber optic gyroscopes in Tinley Park, ILKey Responsibilities:Wind fiber around modulator using winding machine and benchtop magnifier.Apply adhesive with nematic dispenser and UV curing wand.Fiber handling.Torque requirements.Assemble modulators in coil assembly.Stock transactions.Operate Hene Laser.Minimum Qualifications:Education: High School diploma or equivalent.Years of Experience: 0 to 1 year of relevant or similar experience preferred. Preferred Qualifications:Able to be at a workstation for extended periods of time, during each scheduled shift (7 AM to 3:30 PM).Practice safe operating procedures.Keep work area clean and report all safety hazards.Good verbal and written communication skills. Salary:The salary range for this position is $17 - $18 per hour depending on skillset and experience level. *This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an employee in this position may be asked to perform from time to time.
